Welcome to Post 16
Our aim is to work with students and parents to ensure that our young people:
- achieve academically by providing challenge and support
- develop the skills and attributes which are essential to success in later life
We are very proud of our students and their academic achievements. In 2014, 25% of all grades were A*/A, 45% A-B and 72% A-C. In 2013 our A*/A and A*-B rates were the highest in the county ranking the College 1st in Leicestershire.
We offer a wide range of courses to choose from. We have specialist staff in all subject areas and a dedicated tutor team. 95% of parents reported that teaching in post 16 is good or better and 98% of post 16 students are happy here.
Our facilities are developing each year. We have good study areas including the new post 16 study room and the LRC (Learning Resource Centre); which both provide high quality ICT facilities for daily use.
We encourage all our students to get fully involved in Post 16 life by offering a range of enrichment activities. We are sure that if you choose to study here at Groby you will have
a stimulating, rewarding and enjoyable time. We look forward to welcoming you.
