Meghan Shuttlewood in year 12 has won Young Artist of the Year at the Leicestershire Lord Lieutenant's Young Person of the Year ceremony held at County Hall, 11 April 2013.

Miss Deborah Law, Subject Leader for Art, nominated Meghan on the basis of her sheer talent, originality and the unique qualities of her work and she received a prize of £500 worth of art equipment.
Meghan is looking to study art at Goldsmiths University in London and hopes that winning this award will help her to stand out amongst the stiff competition for places at one of the country's best art schools.
