Brookvale/Groby Band Concert

Thursday 3 July 2014 saw the first concert of the newly formed Brookvale Groby Orchestra. Twenty eight students from year 7 to year 11 have been rehearsing since January and finished with a day’s workshop rehearsal with a professional conductor; Mike Fowell, to be ready for the concert. The standard of playing was very high and the group made a lovely sound. The parents and carers who watched the evening were delighted by the event and could see the progress that their child had made with their playing. There are three concerts already planned for next year including a Christmas Show and a tour to Belgium in the Summer Term.
