Congratulations to all the students who attended the 3rd Annual Awards Ceremony on Thursday 18 September at the college.

The evening was a celebration of our motto 'achieving excellence together' with current and former students, parents, staff and governors coming together to recognise the achievement and contribution that the young people make to Groby Community College.

The highest achieving students in the GCSE class of 2014 Abbie Green and Oliver Lawrence-Overy were there to collect their awards. Along with Abbie and Oliver was Alex Bradley, the highest achieving male A Level student who was leaving at the weekend to start his degree course at the University of Sheffield.

The college also received its EQualities Award from Dr Chris Dennington.  Dr Dennington had travelled from Bournemouth just for the ceremony in recognition of not only being the first college in Leicestershire to achieve the EQualities Award but also for the quality of the application which she described as the best she had ever seen.
