To find out if a graduate career in teaching is right for you, come and spend some time in BOSGRO cluster schools on our school experience programme.

It is only by going into schools that you will get that sense of whether teaching really feels right – and whether you think you can do it. Although relevant experience is not a formal prerequisite to get onto an initial teacher training (ITT) course, it is a supporting factor in the application process. Not surprisingly, it demonstrates your commitment to the profession and recruiters will feel reassured that you have a realistic view of what teaching is like. A further plus is that you will have something concrete on which to base your answers on at interview.

The Groby school experience programme offers you the chance to spend time at Groby and the other schools in BOSGRO partnership. You will have the opportunity to:

• gain valuable work experience
• experience a range of teaching methods
• study how students learn
• gain insight into how students are inspired by our experienced outstanding teachers
