Whether it is for the start of an academic year or part way through the year, all applications for a place at Groby Community College must be supported by an application to Leicestershire County Council:

Flexible Learning News

DAVID WILSON CONSTRUCTION CENTRE at Groby Community College 

Thanks to a grant donated by the David Wilson foundation the allotment compound has been transformed.

This area has been developed to provide facilities to enable the college to deliver basic construction skills such as bricklaying, carpentry and painting and decorating as part of our Flexible Learning curriculum.  In addition we now have 6 manageable raised beds with which to practise our horticultural skills and link growing food with cooking and eating it.

Work Experience

The college does not formally provide a week for work experience as it recognises that each student has very different needs in terms of their future. We do however support students who would like to gain a work experience placement during their school holidays.

Our Work Experience Coordinator Mrs Karen Middleton is on hand  to support and offer advice to parents and students.

We also work with the LEBC to provide Careers Advise for all age ranges.
